Principal investigator
Hanjun Park leads the Park Lab and is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial, Manufacturing, and Systems Engineering at Texas Tech University.
His research focuses on applying principles from physical ergonomics, occupational biomechanics, work physiology, and data science to enhance human-centered systems, with particular emphasis on addressing mismatches between humans and wearable devices, AI-infused systems, and work environments.
PhD students
Byungkyu Choi
Byungkyu is a PhD student in Industrial, Manufacturing, and Systems Engineering at Texas Tech University. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Industrial and Management Engineering from Incheon National University.
His research interests lie in human factors and ergonomics, with a focus on understanding and improving human performance in human-centered systems. He is particularly interested in how human movement, neuromuscular demands, and adaptation influence performance during interactions with emerging technologies.
Master students
Delaney Sheppard
Delaney is currently pursuing an M.S. in Bioengineering at Texas Tech University. She received a B.S. in Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology from New Mexico State University (NMSU).
Her research interests include motion capture, biosignal processing, and the ergonomics of musical instruments and musician performance.
